Nathalie van de Kamp moved to the Algarve in 2023 with her husband and two children, swapping the cold, wet Dutch climate for sunshine and good food. As an expat for life, having lived in several countries before relocating to Portugal, she knows all about the bumps in the road expats face when taking the plunge and making a fresh start in an unfamiliar place. By now, she is an expert in the specific challenges of the Algarve and is determined to make life just a little easier for the expat community.
Ernie Ramaker is based in both the Netherlands and the UK and is something of a digital nomad. Wherever he sets up his laptop, that’s his home. With a background in languages and web design, and firsthand experience of life abroad, he is the perfect match for XpatHaven.
